Assessment of the extent and nature of the risk of flooding and its implications for land use planning
The Wisbech SFRA sets out the flood risk issues in Wisbech in more detail than are provided in the District-wide SFRA. The Wisbech SFRA considers the existing flood defence infrastructure in the town and assesses the risk of flooding were these to fail. The results are shown on a series of maps in the Appendix which indicate a range of possible flood events, whilst at the same time taking the effects of climate change into account. A Toolkit in the Appendix also provides useful guidance for developers who are considering new developments in the study area.
