Is your health making it difficult for you to work? WorkWell Fenland is here to help.

WorkWell Fenland is a free service for when you're struggling to find or keep a job due to physical or mental health.

Whether you're unemployed, struggling in your current job, or navigating a return to work, our specialist work and health coaches are here to support you. The service is voluntary, and accessing it will not affect any benefits you may be receiving.

Support for individuals

You can access WorkWell Fenland for support to get back to or stay in work if:

  • You are aged 16 or over, and
  • You have the right to work in the UK, and
  • You live in Fenland or are registered with a GP or JobCentre Plus in Fenland, and
  • You have a health-related issue (physical or mental) that is affecting your ability to work

You do not need to be claiming any benefits to access the service. Taking part in the programme is completely voluntary and has no impact on benefits.

How WorkWell Fenland can help

When you sign up, you'll be partnered with a dedicated work and health coach who will:

  • Understand your personal circumstances
  • Identify the support you need
  • Connect you to the right local or national services

Whatever you're facing that's making it difficult to work, we're here to help you find a way forward. Support areas include:

  • Employment advice & job support
  • Skills development & training
  • Health and wellbeing services
  • Financial & debt advice
  • Housing support
  • Carer support
  • Home adaptations
  • Support with substance misuse
  • Help with domestic abuse or relationship challenges

About WorkWell Fenland

WorkWell Fenland is a government-funded initiative delivered by Fenland District Council, in partnership with local health and employment services.

It is supported by the NHS and funded by UK Government.

You can refer yourself or be referred by a health professional, employer, or support organisation.

Support for employers

WorkWell Fenland can also support your business.

Help your employees stay well and productive by signposting them to our free service. Our team works alongside your existing human resources or occupational health offers, not in place of them.
