Notification of Street Works at Environmentally Sensitive hours
Organisations should tell us if they plan to undertake street works during the evening or at certain weekend hours
The Cambridgeshire Permit Scheme for Street Works encourages companies to tell the Local Authority Environmental Health team about planned evening and Sunday works in their area. Works may include:
- utility works
- road works
- emergency works - e.g. burst water mains or gas leaks
The permit scheme policy states that organisations should contact us if planning works are due to be carried out during 'environmentally sensitive' hours. These are hours outside of:
- 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday
- 08:00 to 13:00 on a Saturday
As soon as reasonably possible, we ask that companies to:
- complete our online form to tell us about the planned works
- contact nearby properties to tell them about the planned works. You should explain the expected dates, times and duration of the works and give emergency contact details
