Free and low-cost exercise and activity sessions - November 2025
There's free and low-cost fun and activity for all on offer with Active Fenland.
The programme includes everything from walking football to yoga, specialist sessions for people who want to improve their strength and mobility, and for those with cardiac problems. Take a look at the full programme to find the class or activity for you.

Chatteris
- Free Chatteris Wellbeing Walk, Tuesdays, 1.45pm to approx. 2.30pm, from and to Chatteris Library, Furrowfields Road, PE16 6DY. Variable but usually slower pace. Tea/coffee available afterwards in the library. No need to book.
March
- Cardiac rehab sessions for people with a Phase 3 cardiac rehab team or medical professional referral. Mondays, 1.45pm to 3.30pm, at George Campbell Leisure Centre, City Road, PE15 9LT. Book and pay at leisure centre.
- 'Pre-fit' seated and standing exercise for the infirm, for people who have noticed they are limiting their activity or have stopped doing things because they are getting more challenging (our 'strength and balance' classes are more gentle and a good start point if you're not ready for pre-fit), Wednesdays, 1pm to 2.30pm, at George Campbell Leisure Centre, City Road, PE15 9LT. Book and pay at leisure centre.
- Free March Riverside Wellbeing Walk, Tuesdays, 1.30pm from March Library, City Road, PE15 9LT. Around an hour, variable yet usually moderate pace. Tea/coffee available afterwards in the library. No need to book.

- Cardiac rehab sessions for people with a Phase 4 cardiac rehab team or medical professional referral. Thursdays, 1.15pm to 3pm, at Manor Leisure Centre, Station Road, PE7 1UA. Book and pay at leisure centre.
- Strength and Balance chair-based exercise for the infirm, for people who have or are losing confidence in their balance or fear falling. Fridays, 11.30am to 12.30pm, at Manor Leisure Centre, Station Road, PE7 1UA. Book and pay at the leisure centre.
- 'Pre-fit' seated and standing exercise for the infirm, for people who have noticed they are limiting their activity or have stopped doing things because they are getting more challenging (our 'strength and balance' classes are more gentle and a good start point if you're not ready for pre-fit). Tuesdays, 10am to 11.30am, at Manor Leisure Centre, Station Road, PE7 1UA. Book and pay at leisure centre.
- Free Whittlesey Wellbeing Walks, every 2nd & 4th Monday of the month (excluding bank holidays), 10am to around 11am (variable but usually slower pace) and 10.15am to around 11am (slow pace with rest stops) from and to the Buttercross, Market Street. Tea/coffee available afterwards in the library. No need to book.

- Free 'couch to 5k and beyond' running supportive, friendly beginners and advanced class for those who want to progress their running. Open to adults and children aged eight plus. - Badminton, Mondays, 6pm to 7pm, at Hudson Leisure Centre, Harecroft Road, PE13 1RL. Mixed ability, for everyone aged 16 plus. Pay at the leisure centre. No need to book.

- Free walking football, Thursdays, 10am to noon (football 10am to 11am; coffee and chat 11am to noon), Barton Road Recreation Ground, PE13 1LE. No need to book.
- Forever Fit, circulate at your own pace activities such as new age kurling, table tennis, skittles and boccia, have an included drink and a chat too. Tuesdays, 11.30am to 12.30pm, at Hudson Leisure Centre, Harecroft Road, PE13 1RL. Pay at the leisure centre.
