Council rectifies postal vote issue following isolated error
Fenland District Council has identified an error affecting a small number of postal votes issued for the upcoming Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Mayoral elections on Thursday 1 May.

Due to human error, some ballot papers within the Roman Bank and Peckover County Electoral Division were placed in the incorrect envelopes, resulting in mismatched ballot paper and postal vote pack numbers.
All 136 postal voters affected will be contacted directly. They will receive replacement postal vote packs and a letter of apology, delivered by hand on Thursday 17 April.
If you do not receive a new pack and letter, there is no need to worry - your original postal vote is still valid and will be counted.
This issue was quickly identified thanks to robust checks and controls in place and affects just a small fraction of the 13,000 postal votes issued by the Council.
