Please ensure you are aware of the following information before you start your application. You should also have read the information on our Street Trading webpage. Any omissions will result in your application being deemed invalid.
Guidance Notes
- A consent can be held by more than one person providing that person has a business interest and authority to manage the street trading site. Joint consent holders shall be equally responsible for any breach of terms and conditions of a Street Trading Consent
- Applicants must be over the age of 17 years
Approval of Applications
- First time applications will take a maximum of 60 days to be determined
- The applicant will be advised by email that their application has been successful. They must accept the offer of a Street Trading Consent and make a full payment of the rest of the fee within 21 days
- After 21 days a reminder letter will be sent for full payment
- If the fee is still not received within 5 working days the offer will lapse. The applicant will then need to make a new application to the council and pay another £50 deposit.
A Street Trading Consent will not be issued until the street trading fee has been paid in full. Applications may be approved subject to additional conditions.
Renewals
If you're applying to renew an existing consent but want to change the location, trading hours or the type of goods being sold, you may need to make a new application. Please contact the Licensing Team for advice (licensing@fenland.gov.uk) before continuing with your application.
Documents
You will need to have electronic copies of the following. These will need to be uploaded to this form as part of your application. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
- Passport sized photos of each applicant

- A list of every street you wish to trade in (for mobile trading)
- 3 colour photographs showing the front, rear and side views of the trading unit. (If you are an existing trader renewing a consent you do not need to do this unless the appearance of the trading unit has changed)

- Written permissions, certificates relating to advertisements, power source or generator (if applicable)
