The Hereward Community Rail Partnership (CRP), which champions the Hereward Line and its stations at Peterborough, Whittlesea, March, Manea and Ely, is holding its latest 'Meet the Manager' event on Thursday 14 March.

For the first time, CRP representatives and managers from Greater Anglia and East Midlands Railway will be staging the event across two locations to meet as many people as possible:

  • Manea Village Hall - 2.30pm to 4pm
  • Manea Railway Station - 4.15pm to 6pm

'Meet the Manager' events are aimed at listening to passengers' feedback and comments to help continually improve local train services.

Visitors can also find out more about the Hereward Line, giving access to all that the Fens and the East of England have to offer, discuss general rail issues, and ask any questions they have about train services.

Cllr Chris Seaton, Fenland District Council's Portfolio Holder for Transport and Chairman of the Hereward Community Rail Partnership, said: "We are excited to host the latest 'Meet the Manager' event as part of our ongoing commitment to engaging with the community.

"These events are a fantastic opportunity for rail passengers to voice their opinions, learn more about local railway operations, and get involved in exciting developments along the Hereward Line."

The Hereward CRP is managed by Fenland District Council in partnership with train operators, railway user groups, station adoption groups and local residents who help look after Fenland's Hereward Line and its five stations.

Martin Moran, Greater Anglia's Commercial and Customer Service Director, said: "It's really important to us to hear from passengers about what matters to them and answer any questions they may have. We are keen to listen and to understand people's experiences so that we can work to continually improve our service and meet customers' expectations and needs."

Kaye Robinson, Community Engagement Manager at East Midlands Railway, said: "These sessions are a great way to understand the opinions and concerns of the communities we serve. I'm looking forward to meeting people and hear about their experiences using our services."
