Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste can harm human health and the environment if not managed properly. 

Items can include common household products such as bleach, paint stripper, pesticides, engine oil, electricals and gas bottles.

Many items can be taken to a Household Recycling Centre.

Asbestos

Asbestos can be a dangerous material. It needs handling carefully.

Clinical Waste

Clinical waste materials can be dangerous to anybody coming into contact with them unless made safe.

Hygiene Waste

Arrangements for hygiene waste, also known as 'san-pro' and 'sanitary' waste.

Batteries

Never put any kind of battery in household waste or recycling bins as they are a significant fire risk.
