Businesses and organisations invited to join fight against hate crime
Businesses, community and statutory organisations are urged to become champions in the fight against hate crime.

Hate Crime Champions will:
- ensure hate crime information (such as posters and leaflets in digital and physical form, as appropriate) are displayed and available within their organisation
- act as the main point of contact within their organisation for anyone wanting to discuss a hate crime
- signpost individuals and/or service users to appropriate services, information, advice and guidance
- share key messages from local authorities and police regarding hate crime within their organisation.
Online training: Thursday, November 27
Anyone interested is invited to sign up for free online training, which takes place 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday, November 27.
Fenland Community Safety Partnership is a statutory body made up of representatives from the police, local authorities, fire and rescue services, health and probation services.
Cllr Susan Wallwork, Fenland District Council's portfolio holder for community safety and chair of Community Safety Partnership, said: "Hate crime can affect any community and we want everyone in Fenland to know it's unacceptable, must be reported and stopped. We're delighted to join our Fenland Community Safety Partnership colleagues in this awareness raising scheme over what hate crime is and what we can all do to help stamp it out. We urge businesses and organisations to extend their important roles within our communities by taking part in the training and supporting this fight."
