We are looking for a creative and customer-focused person to play a varied and exciting digital communications role in our busy Policy & Communications Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in how we communicate with residents, businesses, and partners, supporting our corporate priorities, key projects, and service improvements.
You'll be responsible for creating and publishing engaging digital content - from website updates and social media campaigns to video production and online surveys. You'll help maintain and develop our online presence, ensure accessibility compliance, and support public consultations. Your work will help uphold the Council's brand identity and enhance our reputation across all digital channels.
We're looking for someone with experience in digital content creation, good knowledge of website management and accessibility standards, and confidence in using content design tools and content management systems. You must have a creative eye and excellent writing skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
You'll be part of a friendly, responsive and dynamic team that supports and promotes a wide range of council services and partnerships. Working closely with colleagues across other services, you'll help them to develop and communicate their services in line with the Council's corporate priorities.
This role requires flexibility and ability to attend ad-hoc meetings and events, which may occasionally involve evening or weekend work.
