Environmental Educational Provision Grant
Funding may be available for environmental education projects taking place in Elm, Whittlesey or within the North Ward of March
Fenland District Council invites expressions of interest for the provision of Environmental Educational activities to take place in all or some of the following areas:
- Parish of Elm, Cambridgeshire
- Parish of Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire
- North Ward of March, Cambridgeshire
Education can be provided for young people and/or adults. It should provide a service beyond that which is already available, for instance the national curriculum or existing running costs.
We would welcome projects that address sustainability issues such as:
- Saving energy
- Travelling wisely
- Shopping ethically
- Saving resources
- Caring for wildlife/nature
- Reducing waste/pollution
We would also favour projects that have the potential to become sustainable beyond the initial grant funding and those that have match funding.
Organisations with experience in the above should express their interest in writing or email by Monday 17th November 2025.
All parties expressing an interest should include:
- Your proposal for environmental education activities.
- Evidence of previous success (if applicable)
- A copy of your constitution
- A copy of your safeguarding policy
- A copy of your insurance
- A statement of your accounts
Please email your expressions of interest, or any enquiries to adolling@fenland.gov.uk
If more than one bid is received the Council may choose to fund more than one applicant, therefore you should provide a detailed breakdown of cost and project options. Preference will be given to projects with local community involvement.
