Have your say on renewal of Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in Wisbech
People are being asked for their views on whether to continue a legal order which clamps down on antisocial behaviour associated with an alleyway in Wisbech.

Have your say
The Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) was imposed by Fenland District Council to install gates restricting public access to an alleyway between Norfolk Street and West Street.
The PSPO was introduced to address persistent antisocial behaviour taking place in the alleyway, including littering, urination and defecation, and reduce the negative impact it was having on the local area.
It gives the Council and police greater powers to tackle the behaviour, with anyone failing to comply with the order facing a Fixed Penalty Notice or a fine of up to £1,000.
PSPOs can last for a maximum of three years, after which time they can be renewed or varied if still deemed necessary.
The Norfolk Street/West Street PSPO was first introduced in July 2023 and is due to expire in July 2026. Before it is renewed, the Council would like the public's view on whether they support its renewal or not.
