New water features make a splash at Wisbech Park
Families visiting Wisbech Park this summer can now enjoy even more fun in the sun after two new water features were installed at the park's Splashpad this week.

The upgrade forms part of Fenland District Council's ongoing investment in the Splashpad as part of its 'Fenland Inspire!' campaign, aimed at enhancing public spaces and leisure facilities across the district.
Other improvements planned for the attraction include new picnic benches and shaded canopy areas.
Cllr Samantha Hoy, town, district and county councillor for Wisbech and Fenland District Council Cabinet member, said: "We've tried to get all these new improvements ready for this summer but with planning permission and ordering times, some things take a little longer. That's why we've gone ahead with installing these exciting new water features now so families can enjoy them straight away.
"The Splashpad is already a much-loved attraction for families, and these additions make it even better. Through our Fenland Inspire! campaign, we're committed to making Wisbech Park a place everyone can enjoy for years to come."
The new shade canopies require planning permission due to Wisbech Park being in a conservation area. The ordering and delivery of other amenities may also take some time but will be installed as soon as possible.
The Splashpad is completely free to use and open daily throughout the summer from 10am to 5pm.
