Latest Meet the Manager event coming to Manea on 6 March
Rail passengers and residents are being invited to an afternoon of 'all things railway' when the Hereward Community Rail Partnership holds its latest Meet the Manager event.

The partnership, which supports the Hereward railway line and its stations at Peterborough, Whittlesea, March, Manea, and Ely, is hosting the event at Manea Village Hall on Thursday, 6 March, from 2pm to 4pm.
Meet the Manager events are held regularly at stations and community venues along the Hereward Line, offering people an excellent opportunity to engage directly with rail managers and representatives.
Attendees have the chance to discuss railway services and share feedback, and learn more about the Hereward Line, including ongoing developments, future plans, and local days out.
Free refreshments and biscuits will also be available.
The event on 6 March will welcome managers from CrossCountry and Greater Anglia.
Cllr Chris Seaton, Chairman of the Hereward Community Rail Partnership and Portfolio Holder for Transport at Fenland District Council, said:
"Our Meet the Manager events are a fantastic opportunity for local residents to voice their opinions, ask questions, and gain insight into how local rail services and stations are managed and improved. They're also an invaluable tool in helping rail companies provide services that meet the needs of communities along the route."
David Jones, CrossCountry's Regional Stakeholder Manager, said:
"It's a great opportunity to meet some of the local people who use Manea station to hear their views about our service. CrossCountry was pleased to be able to call two more long-distance trains at Manea three years ago to provide more direct connectivity with Cambridge, and also with destinations in the East Midlands and Birmingham."
Alan Neville, Greater Anglia's Customer and Community Engagement Manager, added:
"I'm looking forward to meeting people and answering their questions about Greater Anglia services, as well as highlighting our new trains and excellent punctuality figures which makes travelling by train in the area an attractive and convenient choice."
Managed by Fenland District Council, the Hereward CRP collaborates with train operators, railway user groups, station adoption groups and local residents. Together, the partnership works to champion improvements to the Hereward Line and its stations and engages communities to help them get the most out of their railway.
