Get ready for March's first Farmers Fayre this weekend!

March's recently revitalised Market Place is set to host its first ever Farmers Fayre this weekend, offering a delightful array of local produce.

Organised by the Mayor and Mayoress of March, Cllr Gary Christy and his wife Nicola, in partnership with the Fenland Farmers Group, the event takes place on Sunday, 27 October, between 10am and 3pm.

Visitors to the event can look forward to a fantastic selection of locally sourced food and drink, including fresh bread, meats from a local butcher, handcrafted gin, homemade preserves and cakes, and much more.

There will even be a farming demonstration and display of old tractors.

The Farmers Fayre is part of a broader initiative to bring even more vibrant community events to the town centre, increase footfall and support local traders. Although the Fayre is a one-off event for now, Cllr Christy said plans are already in the pipeline for more events in the new year, including a craft fair and more car shows, like the popular Mayor's Mini Meet that took place in the Market Place earlier this summer.
