Work underway on 50 new affordable homes for March

The development is poised to bring 50 new affordable homes to the heart of March, comprising of all affordable rent properties. Completion on the site, supported by grant funding from Homes England, is expected in November 2025.

Collaborating once again with our returning client, Accent Housing, Burmor embarks on pioneering yet another development that harnesses modern construction methods to deliver not only on affordability but also sustainability. Anticipating an EPC-A rating, these homes stand to be remarkably energy-efficient, promising reduced energy wastage and more economical energy bills compared to dwellings with lower ratings.

The news comes after Accent Housing and Burmor announced last month that construction was also about to get underway on 50 new homes for affordable rent in Fairbairn Way, Chatteris.

Both schemes are part of wider development ambitions for Accent across Fenland and nearby Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire,

Accent Housing and Burmor are pleased to be working on the project with Fenland District Council, which gave planning consent for the new homes to go ahead.
