The Whittlesey Heritage Walk guides you on a circular tour of the historic Fenland town.

It takes in the town's most historic landmarks and provides a unique insight into its history and heritage, as well as local transport information.

The walk provides options to follow a long or short trail, highlighting fabulous facts and intriguing histories of the buildings and features around Whittlesey.

It even includes fun, augmented reality games for the kids when you follow the walk using the free Love Exploring App (opens new window).

The walk also promotes other town assets such as Whittlesea Railway Station, Kings Dyke Nature Reserve, Lattersey Nature Reserve and a wonderfully scenic riverside walk.

Background

The walk was originally identified as part of the Growing Fenland Whittlesey project and created thanks to funding from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
