March Christmas Market 2025

Get festive at the free-to-enjoy March Christmas Market in the town centre 10am to 3pm on Sunday, December 7.

The event boasts more stalls than ever with 190 offering a wonderful range of gifts, crafts and produce. Visitors can also enjoy hot festive food, a host of live entertainment, free children's rides, Santa's grotto and an indoor craft market.

Cllr Jan French, chair of March Events Committee, said: "March Christmas Market promises to be a wonderful occasion once again and we can't wait to see the community coming together in the town centre to embrace the festive season and all the joy it entails. I'd like to thank the local businesses who sponsor the event as well as all involved in enabling and supporting it."

Stalls and attractions will spread across Broad Street, High Street and March Market Place.  March Library, in City Road, will host an indoor craft fair, children's activities and refreshments. March Museum, in High Street, will also be open. There will be free children's rides and a Santa's grotto in the marketplace. And stalls and attractions in St Peter's Church, High Street.

Walking, cycling or use of public transport to get to the event is encouraged for those who can. March train station is only a mile from the town centre.

To allow the event to happen, it's usual for there to be road closures and parking restrictions, from 5am to 7.30pm on event day, on the following routes: Acre Road, Broad Street, City Road, Elwyn Road, George Street, Grays Lane, High Street, Market Place, Nene Parade. Motorists are reminded not to leave cars parked on these routes into the time when closures come into effect.

Free town centre parking is available at Fenland District Council's City Road and Darthill Road car parks. Fenland Hall, in County Road, is also available for free parking. March Market Place will not be available for parking during the event.

March Christmas Market is primarily a March Events Committee event, with Fenland District Council and March Town Council providing support.

A week after March Christmas Market, Wisbech Christmas Fayre will be held. Wisbech Christmas Fayre takes place 10am to 3pm, Sunday, December 14.

Wisbech Christmas Fayre 2025

Indulge in all things festive at the free-to-enjoy Wisbech Christmas Fayre in the town centre, 10am to 3pm, on Sunday, December 14.

The fayre includes 80 stalls offering quality gifts and delicious seasonal food; live music and dance, sponsored by Wisbech Town Council; children's attractions; an indoor craft fair and interactive family activities.

Meander from the Market Place to the High Street, The Crescent, library, museum and Horsefair Shopping Centre taking in the sights sound and smells of Christmas and meet Santa!

In the old Argos shop in Horsefair Shopping Centre, Cambridge Science, will be running free science activities.

On Market Street there will be a free children's miniature ride-on train. Roundabouts on Market Place will be subsidised by Horsefair Shopping Centre and cost £1.50 per ride.

Be sure to visit Wisbech Library, in Ely Place, where you'll find an indoor craft fayre. And Wisbech Museum, in Museum Square, for an historical Christmas food display and tasting along with a 'Crafty Little Christmas' exhibition.

Wisbech Christmas Fayre is a Fenland Four Seasons event supported by a committee of dedicated volunteers involving Fenland District Council, Wisbech Town Council, Wisbech Horsefair Shopping Centre, Wisbech Library, Wisbech and Fenland Museum, Wisbech Projects, Wisbech Lions, the National Trust's Peckover House and Wisbech Rotary Club, with contributions from many more.

Fenland District Council provides some seed money to each of the Four Seasons events, an officer to support in the coordination and planning of them, support with bookings and administration and to ensure staffing for many aspects of the on-the-day running.

Travel information

Walking, cycling or travelling by public transport to the event is encouraged for those who can. 

To allow the event to happen, it's usual for there to be no parking on or vehicle access to the following roads from 5am to 7pm: Bridge St, York Row, Post Office Lane, The Crescent, Ely Place, Castle Square, Castle Mews and Union Place, Hill St, Union St, Market Place, High St, Little Church St, Church Terrace. Motorists are reminded not to leave cars parked on these routes during those times. Vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense.

Motorists are urged to use free council car parks in Chapel Road (PE13 1RG), Somers Road (PE13 1JF) and Church Terrace (PE13 1BL). Horsefair Shopping Centre car park, Churchill Road, will also be free for the day.

The event is making a welcome return after high winds led to cancellation last year.
